Fishing: Bass Tournament: Georgia Boating and Fishing Laws apply. All participants should report by 5:00 am. Boats should be ready for live well checks during this time. Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times. Each competitor is required to have all the required safety equipment mandated by state law. Life jacket rule is standard for safety reasons. No trolley permitted. |

Only artificial lures may be used. Only artificial bait is permitted. Only one (1) rod and reel combination may be used at one time. Boats shall not fish closer than 50ft. from any other boat. All bass must be caught alive and in a conventional sporting manner. Trolling is not permitted. Only Black bass will be weighted. All bass weighed in must measure 12 inches long. Dead fish will be weighed in with an 8oz. penalty per dead fish (no gill movement). Competitors who check-in late for weigh-in will be penalized one (1) pound per minute, with a maximum of fine (5) minutes at which time they will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS. During the tournament hours, it will be illegal to leave your boat for any reason, unless an emergency exists. Ties will be broken by the largest number of live, released bass; second by the largest bass. |
