AGENCIES/MEMBERS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
2008 GEORGIA POLICE AND FIRE GAMES:

-All certified, sworn, active Federal, State, County, or Municipal Law Enforcement officers and/or Full time certified, salaried Fire Fighters in the State of Georgia.

-All certified sworn, active Correctional and/or Probation Officers.

-All retirees of Federal, State, County or Municipal Law Enforcement or Fire Agency.

-Professional, ex-professional athletes or military personnel will not be allowed to compete in his/her professional sport(s).

-Eligibility requirements apply to each member of the team.

-Each member must be an employee of the agency represented.

-Federal agency competitors must be assigned to the State of Georgia.

-State and Federal agencies may form within different divisions of their own agency.

-Municipal and County personnel may combine to form teams within their county boundaries.

-Competitors involved in the combination must be from a department of 200 or less.

-Any participants not sure about eligibility, please contact any Executive Committee Member, or host agency Event Coordinators. Volunteers for the host agency can not make decisions on participant eligibility. If participants those are not eligible slip in and compete in any events, they will not be eligible for a medal and can be disqualified from competition at any time. 

-Acceptable proof of eligibility: Agency Identification, Current Firefighter’s Union Membership Card, signed letter (on agency letterhead) signed by head of agency stating member is an employee. Employees are not any person working for an authorized agency as a full or part time employee (that employee must receive their pay check from the eligible agency). Subcontractors that work for another support company ARE NOT ELIGIBLE!

ALL COMPETITORS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY, THIS IS REQUIRED AT THE HOST HOTEL (REGISTRATION AREA) AND AT THE VENUE SITE PRIOR TO COMPETITION!
