SWAT Competition: The SWAT competition will consist of three (3) events. Teams will be 5 man teams with 1 alternate. Alternates can be used in the case of injury only. Once an alternate is used he must compete for the rest of the competition. Teams will be required to wear all equipment that would normally be used in a live call-out. (Helmet, Entry Vest, eye protection at a minimum.) Weapons and needed equipment will include, handguns, sub gun or battle rifle with iron sights, scoped rifle and shotgun. Shotguns may be whatever weapon used on the team. Ammo for listed weapons. Door ram, diversionary devices and any carrying equipment for officer rescue that is readily available to the teams during a call out. Team Shooting Scramble - this event will test the shooting ability of the teams with handguns, Iron Sight rifles (no optics), shotguns and scoped rifles. All scores will be based on time and accuracy. All 4 types of weapons will be used in this event. There will be team movement and individual shooting skills used in the event. Hostage Rescue - A 5 man team will be required to negotiate a live fire house and identify targets, then engage hostile targets. The entry will require a door breech with ram and the use of a diversionary device. After engaging all hostile targets with a minimum of 2 shots the team will then retrace their movement carrying a rescue dummy to the finish line. Scoring will be based on time and accuracy. Downed Officer Rescue - This event will require the team to move to the downed officer using a minimum of one shield as cover. Identify targets and engage hostiles. The rescued officer will then be carried to the finish line. Scoring will be based on time and accuracy. Teams may use any equipment in their inventory to carry or drag the rescued officer. |
